Dharamshala: 20 gennaio – Dettagliati rapporti confermano che l’ultima auto immolazione in Nagba Tibet è stata seguita da spari sui tibetani che protestavano causando una morte, cecità e feriti. In seguito all’auto immolazione di Lobsang Jamyang il 14 di questo mese, una manifestazione di tibetani furiosi contro il pestaggio senza pietà di Lobsang durante l’immolazione, si è riunita confrontandosi con i fucili cinesi, per protestare contro l’occupazione del Tibet. Lobsang Jamyang si era cosparso di benzina all’interno di una toilet ad un incrocio nella cittadina capoluogo di Nagba e si è dato alle fiamme. Poi è uscito camminando in strada e cantando slogan di lunga vita per il Dalai Lama e libertà per il Tibet, ha riferito Kanyag Tsering che è vicino alla rete dei tibetani di Nagba in Tibet. Kanyag ha dichiarato in un comunicato stampa che i soldati cinesi e la polizia nelle vicinanze hanno iniziato a bastonare Lobsang con mazze chiodate, invece di spegnere le fiamme, - l’hanno coperto con un telo bianco, continuando a bastonarlo – riferisce il comunicato. Inferociti dalle percosse del tibetano che si stava immolando, i tibetani presenti hanno tentato di sottrarlo alla tortura, ma la polizia cinese ha iniziato a sparare sulla folla uccidendo una donna, accecandone un’altra e ferendo diversi manifestanti. Il comunicato stampa precisa che due donne sono state ferite. In seguito a queste rivolte nella regione la polizia cinese ha aumentato le misure di sicurezza, pattugliando le strade e i movimenti dei tibetani. Tuttavia a dispetto della tensione, per strada sono stati gettati volantini che chiamano i tibetani alla rivolta contro l’occupazione cinese, e chiedono di non festeggiare il capodanno in solidarietà e sostegno con coloro che si sono immolati per la causa del Tibet. Following Lobsang Jamyang's self-immolation on 14th of this month, a mob of Tibetans angered by the Chinese merciless beating of Lobsang at the self-immolation, stood in united in-front of the Chinese guns protesting against the Chinese rule over Tibet. "Lobsang Jamyang doused himself in petrol inside a public toilet cubicle at an intersection in Ngaba county town and set himself on fire. He walked on to the street shouting slogans for the long life of the Dalai Lama and for freedom in Tibet," said Kanyag Tsering who has close network with the Tibetans in Ngaba Tibet. Kanyag in a press release said that Chinese soldiers and police in the vicinity started to beat Lobsang with spiked clubs, rather than putting out the flames. "They covered him with a white cloth, and continued to beat and stamp on him," the release said. Angered by the beating of the Tibetan who self-immolated, Tibetans at the scene tried to take away Lobsang from the merciless beating and torturing but the Chinese police started an open fire on the Tibetan masses which is said to have resulted to the death of one woman, wounded several of protesters, and a woman was blinded. Two women got wounded by the open fire, the press release said. Following the latest scene in the region, the Chinese police have extremely tightened the security, manning the streets and movements of Tibetans. However, despite the apex security control, leaflets were said to have thrown in the streets urging all the Tibetans to rise up and resist against the Chinese rule over, and to skip the upcoming Tibetan New Year to show solidarity and support to all the Tibetans who set themselves on fire for a free Tibet.
