Il portavoce del senatore Bernie Sanders, Michael Briggs, Lunedi ha rilasciato la seguente dichiarazione: "E' un peccato che i media, in una corsa virtuale alla sentenza, stiano ignorando la chiara dichiarazione del Comitato Nazionale Democratico, che è sbagliato contare i voti dei superdelegati prima che effettivamente abbiano votato alla convention di questa estate. "Il Segretario Clinton non ha e non avrà il numero richiesto di delegati impegnati a garantirne la nomina. Lei dipende dai superdelegati che non voteranno fino al 25 luglio e che possono cambiare idea tra oggi e allora. Essi comprendono oltre 400 superdelegati che hanno approvato il Segretario Clinton 10 mesi in anticipo sui primi comitati e primarie e molto prima che qualsiasi altro candidato fosse in gara. Il nostro lavoro da qui alla Convenztion Democratica è quello di convincere i superdelegati che Bernie è di gran lunga il candidato più forte contro Donald Trump".

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ spokesman, Michael Briggs, on Monday issued the following statement: “It is unfortunate that the media, in a rush to judgment, are ignoring the Democratic National Committee’s clear statement that it is wrong to count the votes of superdelegates before they actually vote at the convention this summer. “Secretary Clinton does not have and will not have the requisite number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination. She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then. They include more than 400 superdelegates who endorsed Secretary Clinton 10 months before the first caucuses and primaries and long before any other candidate was in the race. “Our job from now until the convention is to convince those superdelegates that Bernie is by far the strongest candidate against Donald Trump.” |
