L’ISIL esiste perché esiste al-Assad

Un portavoce senior per l'ufficio del presidente turco Recep Tayyip Erdo?an ha indicato che la presenza di organizzazioni terroristiche come lo Stato islamico dell'Iraq e il Levante (ISIL) è legata alla prevalenza del regime del presidente siriano Bashar al-Assad in Siria.

"Senza dubbio, distruggere questa organizzazione terroristica è molto importante per i paesi regionali e la loro stabilità. Fino a quando il regime di al-Assad continua la sua esistenza, le organizzazioni terroristiche come Daesh continueranno a trovare un posto per se stessi in Siria", ?brahim Kalin, un portavoce per l'ufficio di Erdogan, lo ha affermato durante una conferenza stampa ad Ankara, il 30 giugno, con l’acronimo in lingua araba di ISIL.

"Nelle ultime due settimane, ci sono stati tentativi di mostrare la Turchia nella stessa struttura con Daesh, collegata con gli attentati di Tal Abyad e Kobane … La Turchia non ha rapporti con Daesh o organizzazioni terroristiche simili e non ne avrà mai,", ha detto Kalin, riferendosi ai recenti scontri in due città siriane al confine con la Turchia.

Kälin ha aggiunto che Ankara era in trattative con gli alleati della NATO per la sicurezza delle frontiere, nonostante abbia già la giustificazione giuridica necessaria per azioni che ne salvaguardino la sicurezza delle frontiere, anche se non ha fornito ulteriori dettagli.

"Non sono da interpretare le misure che abbiamo adottato per assicurare il nostro confine con titoli come 'La Turchia sta entrando in una guerra ... la Turchia si sta gettando nel fuoco … Le nostre misure di sicurezza sono interamente finalizzate a preservare la sicurezza dei nostri confini" ha detto Kalin.

Il 29 luglio il presidente ha presieduto una riunione del Consiglio di Sicurezza Nazionale, che ha espresso la sua preoccupazione per una minaccia terrorista da oltre confine.

ISIL exists because al-Assad exists

A senior spokesperson for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an’s office has indicated the presence of terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was linked to the prevalence of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.

“No doubt, destroying this terrorist organization is very important for regional countries and their stability. As long as the al-Assad regime continues its existence, terrorist organizations like Daesh will continue finding a place for themselves in Syria,” ?brahim Kal?n, a spokesperson for Erdo?an’s office, said during a press conference in Ankara on June 30, using the Arabic acronym for ISIL. 

“In the past two weeks, there have been attempts to show Turkey in the same framework with Daesh, linked with the attacks in Tal Abyad and Kobane,” said Kal?n, referring to recent clashes in two Syrian towns by the Turkish border. 

“Turkey has no relations with Daesh or a similar terrorist organization and will never have,” he said. 

Kal?n said Ankara was in talks with NATO allies over its border security, but it already had the necessary legal justification for moves that would preserve its border security, though he gave no further details. 

“It is not sound to interpret measures which we have taken to secure our border with headlines like ‘Turkey is going into a war... Turkey is throwing itself into the fire,’” Kal?n said.

“Our security measures are entirely aimed at preserving our border security,” he said. 

On July 29 the president chaired a National Security Council meeting, which voiced its concern about a “terrorism” threat from across the border.
