La battaglia tra esercito iracheno e ISIS raggiunge Baghdad

Quaranta iracheni sono stati uccisi durante le feroci battaglie tra l'esercito ed elementi dello Stato Islamico (IS) in tutto il paese, soprattutto nelle città di Dhuluiya e Muqdadiyah, i combattimenti si sono ora diffusi in nuove aree, tra cui Baghdad, lo ha segnalato il sito news di Al-Arab Al-Yawm.

I nuovi sviluppi coincidono con l’Operations Commander annunciata dal generale Rashid Falih nella Provincia di Al-Anbar, che le agenzie di sicurezza irachene e membri tribali hanno formato gruppi segreti per liquidare elementi IS nelle città di Qaim e Ratbah nella parte occidentale di Al-Anbar.

Falih ha detto in un'intervista all'agenzia di stampa Anadolu che "Comander Al-Anbar Operations ha formato un gruppo di polizia militare segreta e in coordinamento con i membri tribali nelle città di Qaim e Ratbah, a ovest di Ramadi".

Falih ha sottolineato che la missione del gruppo è quella di liquidare i militanti dello stato islamico nelle due città e assistere l'esercito iracheno e le tribù ad eliminarli da tutta la regione. Tuttavia, Falih non ha specificato il numero dei membri del gruppo ne il loro meccanismo d'azione, sottolineando che le informazioni sono riservate.

La formazione dei nuovi gruppi segreti per liquidare i militanti IS che sono riusciti a cacciare le forze di opposizione siriane esterne da Deir Ez-Zor per fissare un corridoio di trasporto tra la Siria e l'Iraq rivela la portata degli scontri tra le due parti, soprattutto dopo che i militanti IS hanno giustiziato quattro rifugiati siriani in Iraq.

Iraqi army and ISIS militants battle reaches Baghdad

Forty Iraqis have been killed during fierce battles between the army and elements of the Islamic State (ISIS) across the country especially in the towns of Dhuluiya and Muqdadiyah, the fighting has now spread to new areas including Baghdad, Al-Arab Al-Yawm news website reported.

The new developments coincide with Al-Anbar Province's Operations Commander General Rashid Falih's announcement that the Iraqi security agencies and tribal members have formed secret groups to liquidate ISIS elements in the cities of Qaim and Ratbah in western Al-Anbar.

Falih said in an interview with the Anadolu news agency that "Al-Anbar Operations Command has formed a group of secret military and police personnel in coordination with tribal members in the cities of Qaim and Ratbah, west of Ramadi."

Falih pointed out that the group's mission is to liquidate the Islamic state's militants in the two cities and assist the Iraqi army and tribesmen to eliminate them from the entire region. However, Falih did not specify the number of the group's members or their mechanism of action, pointing out that the information is confidential.
