"Sono entrati dalla zona di Hajar Aswad" ha detto un testimone, aggiungendo che la violenza era ancora in corso. Yarmouk è stato conquistato da forze governative e gruppi ribelli siriani, tra cui al Nusra di al Qaeda. L'Osservatorio siriano sede in Gran Bretagna ha riferito che lo Stato islamico controlla alcune delle principali strade nel campo e che gli scontri continuano.

ISIS conquista il campo profughi palestinese di Yarmouk a Damasco
Radicali islamici combattono la fazione palestinese Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis per il controllo del campo profughi di Yarmouk nella periferia meridionale della capitale siriana, minacciando il potere di Assad.
Mercoledì militanti dello stato islamico hanno riferito di aver preso gran parte del campo profughi palestinese a Damasco, combattendo con un gruppo all'interno del campo.
Questo è l'incursione più profonda da parte dei militanti ISIS nella capitale siriana. Se guadagnassero il controllo del campo di Yarmouk, potrebbero minacciare la sede del governo del presidente Bashar Assad.
"Combattenti di ISIS, questa mattina, hanno lanciato un attacco su Yarmouk conquistando gran parte del campo", lo ha dichiarato Anwar Abdel Hadi, direttore degli affari politici per l'OLP a Damasco.
L'Osservatorio siriano per i diritti umani, conferma che ISIS controlla la gran parte del campo, dopo aver combattuto con i gruppi palestinesi che si oppongono al regime del presidente Bashar Assad. L'Osservatorio ha detto che gli scontri a Yarmouk sono scoppiati Mercoledì, tra combattenti IS e membri della fazione palestinese Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis.
Secondo la tv Al-Mayadeen di Beirut, combattenti dello Stato Islamico sono entrati nel campo dal vicina quartiere di Hajar Aswad. Un quartiere meridionale di Damasco controllato dai militanti.

ISIS captures Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus
Islamic radicals fight Palestinian faction Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis for control of Yarmouk refugee camp on southern outskirts of Syrian capital, threatening Assad's seat of power.
Islamic State militants have reportedly taken over large parts of a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus on Wednesday, and are fighting with a group inside the camp.
This is the deepest incursion yet by ISIS militants into the Syrian capital. If they gain control of the Yarmouk camp, they can threaten President Bashar Assad's seat of power.
"Fighters from ISIS launched an assault this morning on Yarmouk and they took over the majority of the camp," said Anwar Abdel Hadi, director of political affairs for the Palestine Liberation Organization in Damascus.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based activist group, said ISIS was in control of a "large part" of the camp after fighting with Palestinian groups also opposed to President Bashar Assad's regime.
The Observatory said clashes broke out Wednesday in Yarmouk between IS fighters and members of the Palestinian faction called Aknaf Beit al-Maqdis.
According to the Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen TV, the IS extremists fighters entered the camp from the nearby neighborhood of Hajar Aswad. That southern Damascus neighborhood is controlled by militants.
Yarmouk was once a thriving neighborhood home to 160,000 Palestinian refugees and Syrians but has been caught up in the country's fighting and besieged by regime forces for more than a year.
Only about 18,000 residents are estimated to remain in the camp after many fled the fighting.
The Yarmouk Camp has changed hands several times over the past four years. It was under Assad's control, moved to the hands of moderate Sunni rebels (that don't belong to Islamist organizations) and, at a certain point, was also captured by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra organization.
The siege has caused significant shortages of food, water and drugs inside the camp
ISIS, which has seized control of large parts of Syria and Iraq, has fought not only against the Assad regime but also against other rebel groups as it seeks to expand the territory under its control.
