L’ISIS minaccia di rovesciare i tiranni di Hamas a Gaza
Militanti dello Stato Islamico d'Iraq e la Siria (ISIS) Martedì hanno minacciato di trasformare la Striscia di Gaza in un altro dei loro feudi nel Medio Oriente, accusando Hamas, l'organizzazione che governa il territorio palestinese, di non essere sufficientemente severa circa l'applicazione religiosa. "Noi sradicheremo lo stato degli ebrei (Israele) e voi e Fatah, tutti i laici sono nulla e fuggirete di fronte alle nostre moltitudini rampanti", ha detto un membro mascherato dell’ISIS nel messaggio rivolto ai "tiranni di Hamas ", secondo l’agenzia di stampa Reuters.
"La regola della sharia (la legge islamica), sarà attuata a Gaza, nonostante voi. Giuriamo che ciò che sta accadendo nel Levante oggi, e in particolare nel campo di Yarmouk, succederà anche a Gaza", ha detto, riferendosi ai progressi dell’ISIS in Siria, tra cui, in un quartiere di Damasco fondato da rifugiati palestinesi. Il gruppo terroristico ha inoltre conquistato fasce di Iraq e ha rivendicato gli attacchi in Egitto, Libia, Tunisia e Yemen. La dichiarazione video, rilasciata da una roccaforte ISIS in Siria, era una pubblica sfida contro Hamas, che ha fatto il giro di vite sui militanti a Gaza che si opponevano alle sue tregue con Israele e la riconciliazione con la fazione palestinese rivale sostenuta dagli Stati Uniti, Fatah.
Hamas è un movimento islamista che condivide l'ostilità dei jihadisti verso Israele, ma non la loro ricerca di una guerra di religione globale, si definisce più nel quadro del nazionalismo palestinese.
Considerato un gruppo terroristico da parte di Israele, gli Stati Uniti e l'Unione europea, e visti dalla vicina potenza araba, l’Egitto, come una minaccia alla sicurezza regionale, la lotta di Hamas contro i militanti ISIS non ha catturato alcuna simpatia all'estero.
Martedì scorso, il ministro dell'intelligence di Israele, Israel Katz, ha accusato Hamas di partnership con gli affiliati ISIS nel Sinai egiziano, un’accusa a lungo negata dal gruppo palestinese.
"Vi è la cooperazione tra di loro nel regno del contrabbando di armi e attacchi terroristici. Gli egiziani lo sanno, e anche i sauditi" ha detto Katz in una conferenza stampa a Tel Aviv, organizzata dalla rivista di Difesa Israeliana.
"Allo stesso tempo, all'interno di Gaza, l’ISIS disprezza Hamas. Ma hanno una causa comune contro gli ebrei, in Israele o all'estero".

ISIS threatens to topple Hamas ‘tyrants’ in Gaza
Militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) threatened on Tuesday to turn the Gaza Strip into another of their Middle East fiefdoms, accusing Hamas, the organization that rules the Palestinian territory, of being insufficiently stringent about religious enforcement. “We will uproot the state of the Jews (Israel) and you and Fatah, and all of the secularists are nothing and you will be over-run by our creeping multitudes,” said a masked ISIS member in the message addressed to the “tyrants of Hamas,” according to Reuters news agency.
“The rule of sharia (Islamic law) will be implemented in Gaza, in spite of you. We swear that what is happening in the Levant today, and in particular the Yarmouk camp, will happen in Gaza,” he said, referring to ISIS’s advances in Syria, including in a Damascus district founded by Palestinian refugees. The terror group has also taken over swathes of Iraq and has claimed attacks in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Yemen. The video statement, issued from an ISIS stronghold in Syria, was a rare public challenge to Hamas, which has been cracking down on militants in Gaza who oppose its truces with Israel and reconciliation with the U.S.-backed rival Palestinian faction Fatah.
Hamas is an Islamist movement that shares the jihadis’ hostility to Israel but not their quest for a global religious war, defining itself more within the framework of Palestinian nationalism.
Deemed a terrorist group by Israel, the United States and the European Union, and viewed by neighboring Arab power Egypt as a regional security threat, Hamas’s struggle against ISIS-linked militants has not won sympathy abroad.
On Tuesday, Israel’s intelligence minister, Israel Katz, accused Hamas of partnering with ISIS affiliates in the Egyptian Sinai - a charge long denied by the Palestinian group.
“There is cooperation between them in the realm of weapons smuggling and terrorist attacks. The Egyptians know this, and the Saudis,” Katz told a Tel Aviv conference organized by the Israel Defense journal.
“At the same time, within Gaza, ISIS has been flouting Hamas. But they have common cause against the Jews, in Israel or abroad.” |
