Hamas pone condizioni per la tregua

Ieri un alto funzionario ha detto che Hamas non tornerà ad un cessate il fuoco con Israele fino a quando questi ultimi non si atterranno alle sue condizioni. In caso contrario, la resistenza continuerà per mesi e addirittura anni, ha detto il membro di Hamas Ismail Al-Ashkar del Consiglio legislativo.

Al-Ashkar ha detto che il popolo palestinese e tutti i popoli liberi del mondo possono scommettere sulla resistenza, sottolineando che il movimento è pronto ad affrontare qualsiasi escalation israeliana.

Ha detto che la resistenza è in grado di sparare al di là di Tel Aviv. "Se l'occupazione e i suoi compari pensano che la resistenza si possa indebolire, diciamo loro che stiamo tendendo forte la corda di Dio e siamo supportati da tutti i palestinesi liberi ovunque si trovino e da tutti i popoli liberi del mondo."

Commentando i tentativi da più parti a raggiungere una tregua, Al-Ashkar ha detto, "La resistenza non alza bandiera bianca. Ci fermeremo solo quando loro alzeranno bandiera bianca e si arrenderanno ai termini della resistenza. Le nostre condizioni sono chiare: fermare gli attacchi al popolo palestinese, ovunque si trovi, levare l'assedio imposto al nostro popolo nella Striscia di Gaza, liberare i prigionieri che erano stati liberati dall’accordo Wafa Al-Ahrar In caso contrario, la resistenza. è pronta a perseverare per anni."

Ha detto che la resistenza è ora in grado di danneggiare Israele costringendolo nella linea di fuoco e nei rifugi. L'occupazione deve sopportare le conseguenze della sua follia verso i palestinesi, ha detto.

Condannando i raid israeliani contro le case e l'uccisione di donne e bambini palestinesi. "L'occupazione è andata lontano nei suoi crimini contro il nostro popolo. Abbiamo testimoniato questo nella battaglia di Furqan, l’Operazione Piombo Fuso e nel rapporto Goldstone che condannava i crimini di Israele contro l'umanità. Ma, purtroppo, con la complicità dalla Palestina e di altri paesi, il rapporto è stato messo sullo scaffale alle Nazioni Unite."

"Questa è la terza benedetta rivolta. La sollevazione di Al-Quds sta unendo il popolo palestinese ovunque dietro la resistenza. Il nostro popolo è in rivolta, a Gaza, in Cisgiordania, a Gerusalemme, e nel 1948 la Palestina", ha detto.

"Stiamo dicendo al nemico che, con la resistenza, abbiamo attraversato fasi precedenti, che la resistenza sta diventando più forte giorno dopo giorno. La nostro leggendaria resilienza nella battaglia di Furqan, in cui il nostro popolo ha vinto, e nella battaglia di Sijeel, l’Operation Pillar of Cloud, in cui il nemico ha cercato di testare la resistenza, e la resistenza ha sparato in profondità sul nemico. La resistenza si sta sollevando ancora una volta e la resistenza lo sconfiggerà, a Dio piacendo".

Hamas sets conditions for truce

Hamas will not return to a ceasefire with Israel until the latter abides by its conditions, which are stopping the Israeli offensive on Gaza, lifting the siege, and releasing prisoners who had been originally freed in the Shalit prisoner exchange deal, a senior official said yesterday.

Otherwise, resistance will continue for months, and even years, said the Hamas member of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ismail Al-Ashkar.

Al-Ashkar said that the Palestinian people and all the free people of the world can bet on the resistance, stressing that the movement is ready to face any Israeli escalation.

He said that the resistance is capable of firing beyond Tel Aviv. "If the occupation and its cronies think that the resistance can weaken, we tell them that we are holding on to God's strong rope and we are supported by all the free Palestinians wherever they are and all the free people of the world."

Commenting on attempts by many sides at reaching a truce, Al-Ashkar said, "The resistance will not raise the white flag. We will only stop when they raise the white flag and surrender to the terms of the resistance.

"Our conditions are clear: stopping [Israeli] attacks on the Palestinian people wherever they are, lifting the siege imposed on our people on the Gaza Strip, releasing the prisoners who had been freed in the Wafa Al-Ahrar deal. Otherwise, the resistance is ready to persevere for years."

He said that the resistance is now capable of harming Israel and keeping it in the line of fire and in shelters. The occupation has to bear the consequences of its foolishness toward the Palestinians, he said.

He condemned the Israeli raids on houses and the killing of Palestinian women and children. "The occupation has gone so far in its crimes against our Palestinian people. We noticed this in the Battle of Furqan [Operation Cast Lead] and the Goldstone report that condemned [Israeli] crimes against humanity. But unfortunately, with complicity from Palestine and from other countries, the report was put on the shelf at the United Nations."

"This is the third blessed uprising; Al-Quds uprising is uniting the Palestinian people everywhere behind the resistance. Our people are revolting in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and 1948 Palestine," he said.

"We are telling the enemy, which went through previous rounds with the resistance, that the resistance is becoming stronger day after day. Our legendary resilience at the Battle of Furqan, in which our people won, and in the Sijeel Battle [Operation Pillar of Cloud] wherein the enemy tried to test the resistance, and the resistance fired into the enemy's depth. It is now testing the resistance yet again and the resistance will defeat it, God willing."
