Ad Aleppo i jihadisti chiamano alle armi contro l’avanzata del regime

ISIS ha emesso un bollettino urgente invitando tutte le brigate e i musulmani ad affrontare il nemico.

Dopo una serie di battute d'arresto i ribelli jihadisti di Aleppo hanno chiamato alla mobilitazione di massa per contrastare i progressi del regime su quella che era la prima città commerciale del paese.

L'Osservatorio siriano per i diritti umani ha detto che lo Stato islamico di Al Qaeda di Iraq e al- Sham (ISIL) ha emesso Martedì un bollettino urgente.

Invitando  "tutte le brigate e i musulmani alle armi contro il nemico che sta attaccando territorio islamico."

"Quelli con una scusa valida per non combattere devono fornire armi e denaro", si legge nel comunicato, che riconosce "le molte perdite durante il combattimento per la Base 80, Khanasser e Sfeira."

E' scritto che le forze del presidente Bashar al Assad, che ha definite "l'esercito alawita", avevano conquistato parte della strada che collega Khanasser, Tal Aran e Sfeira a causa della debolezza dei gruppi ribelli, che si ritiravano dalla zona di combattimento.

Sei gruppi di ribelli islamici, tra cui Al Nusra Front, Ahrar al Sham e Liwa al Tawhid, Lunedi hanno emesso una chiamata generale alle armi ad Aleppo "per affrontare gli attacchi di regime".

Una fonte militare ha detto Lunedi che l'esercito si era assicurato la maggior parte della zona intorno all'aeroporto internazionale di Aleppo e potrebbe riaprire l'impianto che i combattimenti hanno tenuto chiuso per quasi un anno.

Ciò è avvenuto dopo che le forze del regime hanno ripreso la Base 80, un impianto strategico incaricato di assicurare l'aeroporto appena fuori la seconda città del paese.

L’Aeroporto di Aleppo è stato chiuso all'inizio dell'anno in seguito alle preoccupazioni per la sicurezza, mentre i ribelli hanno lanciavano una campagna per conquiatare diversi aeroporti della zona.

All’avanzata da parte dell'esercito seguì la caduta di Sfeira, una cittadina a sud est di Aleppo. Riconquistata dalle truppe del regime a inizio novembre, dopo mesi in mano ai ribelli.

Entrambi i media di stato e l'Osservatorio hanno detto Lunedi che l'esercito aveva anche riconquistato la città di Tal Aran, una delle ultime zone sotto il controllo dei ribelli sulla strada Sfeira - Aleppo.

Aleppo jihadist call to arms 
against regime advance

ISIS put out an urgent bulletin calling on all brigades and Muslims to face off against the enemy

Jihadist rebels in Aleppo in northern Syria have called for mass mobilization to counter regime advances on the country's former commercial hub after a string of setbacks for the Islamists.

Watchdog the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIL) put out an urgent bulletin on Tuesday.

It called on "all brigades and Muslims to arms to face off against the enemy which is attacking Islamic territory.”

"Those with a valid excuse not to fight must supply weapons and money," added the communiqué, which acknowledged "many losses in fighting for Base 80, Khanasser and Sfeira.”

It said President Bashar al-Assad's forces, which it dubbed "the Alawite army,” had taken "part of the road linking Khanasser, Tal-Aran and Sfeira because of the weakness of rebel groups.”

The bulletin put this down to "many rebel units withdrawing from the combat zone.”

Six Islamist rebel groups, among them Al-Nusra Front, Ahrar al-Sham and Liwa al-Tawhid, had on Monday issued a general call to arms in Aleppo "to face up to regime attacks.”

A military source said on Monday the army had secured most of the area around Aleppo International Airport and could reopen the facility which fighting has kept closed for nearly a year.

This came after regime forces retook Base 80, a strategic facility charged with securing the airport just outside the country's second city.

Aleppo airport was closed at the start of the year amid security concerns as rebels launched a campaign to seize several airfields in the area.

Advances by the army follow the fall of Sfeira southeast of Aleppo. It was recaptured by regime troops at the beginning of November, after months in rebel hands.

Both state media and the Observatory said on Monday the army had also secured Tal-Aran town, one of the last areas under rebel control on the Sfeira-Aleppo road.
