NOW Hezbollah condemns Israeli soldier “desecration” against Quran Hezbollah on Monday condemned a “profanity” committed by an Israeli soldier against Islam’s holy book. “Hezbollah condemns an Israeli soldier’s desecration of the Quran… and the attempt of a Knesset member to attack the Dome of the Rock Mosque,” a statement issued by Hezbollah read. “An Israeli soldier desecrated a Quran when he kicked it during a religious teaching workshop in the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards, and hit female students participating in the workshop,” the statement explained. “Also, early Monday a Knesset member attempted to attack the Dome of the Rock Mosque, which prompted the residents of Al-Quds Jerusalem to stop this hateful criminal from continuing his despicable actions,” the statement added. The statement also called on Arab countries to take a united stance against the Israelis attacks on Muslim and Christian sanctities.
