Centinaia manifestano contro Morsy al ministero della difesa

Centinaia di persone hanno inscenato una protesta davanti alla sede del ministero della Difesa al Cairo nel quartiere Abbasseya, Venerdì pomeriggio chiedendo le dimissioni del presidente Mohamed Morsi.

Un controverso talk show ha ospitato Tawfiq Okasha, proprietario del canale satellitare Al-Faraeen, il quale ha chiamato alla manifestazione contro il governo dei Fratelli Musulmani.

I media locali informano che anche l'Unione della Gioventù Rivoluzionaria ha chiamato ad un sit-in presso il ministero fino a quando Morsy cede alle loro richieste.

Il giornale Al-Akhbar gestito dallo stato riferitsce sul suo sito web che simpatizzanti del presidente deposto Hosni Mubarak si sono uniti alla protesta, cantando slogan e chiedendo all'esercito di unirsi all’opposizione nel chiedere elezioni presidenziali anticipate in vista delle previste manifestazioni del 30 giugno.

Al-Akhbar scrive che la polizia militare ha intensificato la sua presenza nella zona.

Hundreds rally against Morsy at defence ministry

Hundreds of people have staged a protest outside Defence Ministry headquarters in Cairo’s Abbasseya neighborhood Friday afternoon demanding President Mohamed Morsy step down.

Controversial talk show host Tawfiq Okasha, owner of the privately-owned Al-Faraeen satellite channel, has reportedly called for the demonstration against the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Local media reports that the Revolutionary Youth Union also called for a sit-in at the ministry until Morsy cedes to their demands.

The state-run Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on its website that sympathizers with ousted President Hosni Mubarak also joined the protest, chanting slogans demanding the army join opposition calls for early presidential elections ahead of the planned 30 June protests.

Al-Akhbar said that military police intensified its presence in the area.
