Siamo stati informati che i prigionieri irlandesi non cooperano con le autorità israeliane e, a causa delle continue molestie, alcuni di loro sono stati puniti. Nella telefonata di oggi John ci ha detto che le autorità israeliane avevano completato le perquisizioni di tutti i prigionieri. Poi hanno di nuovo approcciato John il quale si è rifiutato di sottomettersi ad una seconda perquisizione corporale. Al suo rifiuto di cooperare a quella farsa è subito stato ammanettato e incappucciato. Non conosciamo le sue condizioni fisiche ma sappiamo che tiene alto lo spirito. Ci ha detto che gli ostaggi non saranno intimiditi dai loro sequestratori e continueranno a chiedere diritti civili e la loro liberazione dal rapimento illegale al quale sono sottoposti. I prigionieri politici chiedono che conttattiamo il Ministro degli Esteri per chiedere che assicuri l’immediata liberazione dei rapiti in ostaggio e che vengano trattati propriamente fino al loro ritorno sul suolo irlandese. http://irishshiptogaza.org/ Shackled And Handcuffed For Refusing 2nd Body Search Irish Friends of Palestine member John Mallon has been in touch with family today asking a message be delivered to us. We were informed that the Irish Prisoners are not co-operating with Israeli authorities and because of continued harassment some are now being punished accordingly. In a phone call today John said that the Israeli authorities had already completed searches of all the prisoners. Then they approached John again at which point he was told to submit to yet another 2nd full search. He refused to cooperate in this farce and was immediately placed in handcuffs and shackles. We do not know how he is physically but he remains in excellent spirits. He says that the hostages will not be intimidated by their kidnappers and they will continue to demand their civil rights and their release from the illegal kidnapping. The Political Prisoners ask that you contact the Irish Foreign Minister and demand that he ensure the immediate release of the kidnapped hostages and to afford them proper treatment until they are returned to Irish soil.
