Security Siege Imposed On The West Bank An Israeli military statement declared a total security siege on the West Bank as of last night until April 26 because of Jewish holidays. The Israeli Radio said the Palestinians will not be allowed to enter Israel with the exception of humanitarian cases and some people who need medical treatment and this will be done through the Israeli Civil Liaison Office. The exception also includes Palestinian Christians who desire to visit the holy places in Bethlehem and Jerusalem on condition that they get entry permits. (Al-Quds) Abbas: The Pa Will Collapse If The Occupation Remains Indefinitely Palestinian President Abbas said the PA will collapse if Israel insists on keeping its military presence in the lands of the Palestinian state; he made the statement in an exclusive interview with AFP. Abbas explained in the interview that Israeli PM Netanyahu said during the peace negotiations in September 2010 that he wants Israeli military presence in the region adjacent to the Jordan Valley in the West Bank for a period of 40 years. Abbas added: If he wants to stay for 40 years, this is occupation and this means that he wants to keep the occupation and I told him: if you insist on this matter; let your troops stay there and keep your occupation forever. Abbas said Netanyahu rejected proposals on deploying international troops, in particular NATO troops, on the borders. Abbas added: According to this hypothesis, the PA will not exist anymore; it will collapse. This is the first time that Abbas talks very clearly about the dismantling of the PA in case the deadlock continues with Israel. (www.alquds.co.uk <http://www.alquds.co.uk/> )
