Invitation to 2nd International Castell de Figueres Gathering for the Culture of Peace It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2nd Castell de Figueres Gathering for the Culture of Peace, which will be held on 19th and 20th November, 2004 in the grounds of San Ferran Castle and in the town of Figueres. On 15th February, 2003, coinciding with the anti-war demonstrations, we held the 1st Castell de Figueres Gathering for the Culture of Peace in San Ferran Castle, which converted the Castle into an exceptional forum for dialogue between non-violent civilians and the military, looking at “What is the Best System for Guaranteeing Peace and Security in the 21st Century”. Both due to the climate of dialogue and the subjects raised, we made the commitment to hold the 2nd Gathering at which we will discuss “From the Prevention of Conflicts to “Force” as a Last Resort”.
