Pristina 10 December. - “The indifference is the biggest worst in the today world”, had said Mother Teresa. “We have thought how we can help you, who are suffering. We came to a conclusion that the best way to help you is to live with you and to suffer together with you”, said in the meeting with Albanian students the representative of Pax Christi.
“Seven activists of this organization have settled down in village Recan populated by Albanians and Serbs. We have seen that there is no hate between nations. There is only fear, the fear whether the war will start again”, he said, explained that “our duty is to build a bridge of friendship, for a better tomorrow. We are here to suffer with those who are suffering, to cry with those who are crying, because we believe that the love is strongest then hate”.
Domenico Gallo, ex-member of Italian Parliament, said that “even after 50 years of the declaration of human rights we haven’t find the way or other possibility to implement the peace. During these 50 years we have perpetuated wars and different conflicts where have been abuse human rights and freedom of people, as is happened now in Kosova”. But he thinks that the right for self-administration can’t be negated. “This is told on the declaration, in a document of UN. This is told also by a deep human reason”, said Gallo.
Meanwhile, the rector of Pristine University, Zened Kelmendi, said that” the human declaration has never been implemented in Kosova, but it has a particular importance for us”. “In Pristine University, we’re teaching exactly in a manner of this document…, in a manner of full democracy, for all of us, every where in the world”. “You members of friendly Italian nation who have come here to mark this anniversary, you have done a great gesture. The support of human rights, is the obligation of all. Supporting us you have also support yourself”, said Kelmendi.
“We have seen that people here are divided and do not communicate”, said Alberto L’Abate, the professor of Florence University. “I’m astonished how the people, can go forward and to save the balance and civilization which it has, even if is divided and disunited by invisible walls which are created by people”, he said with conviction that soon “those walls which divided and disunited, will be broken”. “Together with others universities, said he, on a base of reason we will do all what is possible in order to open the way for dialog”. The director of Fond for Humanitarian Rights, Natasa Kandic’, said that ”also in Belgrade there are people who knows what is happening in Kosovo - won’t continue forever, that must end. But, I must say also that peace in Kosovo will not be, without justice” she said and concludes “It won’t be a peace without justice for murdered people, in 1998. It won’t be peace without trial of them who are responsible for murdering people in Likosan, Qirez, Prekaz, etc., who have fight against civilians, who have destroyed houses and more then 200 villages”. “The peace in Kosovo can be resolved only if criminals will be sent to Aha Tribunal”, said Kandic’. ”Your presence and your support in those circumstances for us Albanians is more then precious”, said Don Lush Gjergji. “We as Albanian nation couldn’t have done all what has been needed to do. We need friends and benevolence. We need a help from the God”. Meanwhile, Bujar Dugolli, the president of student union, thanked Italian friends “for their sacrifice for Kosova”. “This anniversary we are marking with 2,000 victims of Serb terror, with thousands others wounded, with hundred of lost and with hundred of others arrested and accused”, said he. “We don’t want war and we are against it, but the war is constraint to Albanians, that’s why we are looking for your help”.
