Dear EN.CPS folks,
After I sent you the newsletter of the ARCA project last week, I have been contacted by Denisa (PATRIR), the project's coordinator, with regards to Output 5 of ARCA, which is to form a "European Network of Peace Educators".
In the ARCA project there is a working group with PATRIR, BOCS, Nonviolent Peaceforce, CSDC and PeaceworkersUK working on the implementation of this Output 5. At their last Skype conference they decided to involve EN.CPS and NP Europe in defining the framework, the goals and the structures of this "European Network of Peace Educators" as this project can be useful to our continued collaboration in the future.
All organisations from EN.CPS (both active participants and contacts) have the chance to present ideas and proposals for this project. I have been asked to present "EN.CPS proposals" until September 8th, so I would therefore suggest the following procedure:
Those organisations interested and with concrete ideas, please send me your contributions (a few bullet points is enough!) for a future "European Network of Peace Educaters" until Friday, 1st of September. I will then draft a one-page EN.CPS proposal out of that (possibly together with NP Europe) wich I will send back to you all for information/feedback before submitting it to the ARCA coordinators. This "EN.CPS proposal" would then feed into the consultation of the next ARCA Output 5 Skype conference (on September 13th).
Training has been an important topic in EN.CPS for many years, many of your organisations have valuable experience and contacts to trainers. In the light of NP regional trainings and of possible future joint EN.CPS field projects, it might be a good idea to pool our trainers, to stimulate exchange between our training staff. I would be especially interested to have responses from the coordinators of the ALPICOM project (Bernardo?) and those organisations involved in planned staff exchanges.
