Mario Savio

è stato un attivista e accademico statunitense. Mario Savio fu uno dei personaggi chiave del Free Speech Movement dell'Università di Berkeley, famoso anche per i suoi discorsi accattivanti, in particolare il "put your bodies upon the gears" discorso tenuto nel cortile del campus di Berkeley, il 2 dicembre del 1964. Savio rimane storicamente una delle icone più influenti della controcultura degli anni sessanta e soprattutto una delle icone più lodate per la rivolta studentesca del Sessantotto. |

Tom Hayden
(nato 11 dicembre 1939),
è un americano attivista sociale e politico, autore, e politico, direttore del Peace and Justice Resource Center a Culver City, California. Conosciuto meglio per il suo ruolo di primo piano come attivista intellettuale nel movimento
anti-guerra, dei diritti civili, e della controcultura radicale. Leader dell'SDS e co-autore del Port Huron Statement of the Student for a Democratic Society. Hayden è Senatore e anche ex marito dell’attrice Jane Fonda, nonchè padre del loro figlio, l'attore Troy Garity.
